Sometimes it is easier for me to see God in simple moments than big, huge, earth-shattering events.
I have been struggling a bit with expectations…at home, at work, with people, with myself…and it has left me feeling overwhelmed.
Our friend, Howie, caught me in a not so great moment last Saturday. He saw me upset about something as I was leaving, but we didn’t have a chance to talk about it. Secretly, I had hoped he forgot. Well, looking back…I believe that God, of course, made it so that he saw me.
Today Howie needed a ride home mid-day and I was going his direction. After I dropped him at home I was supposed to swing by the Post Office and he was supposed to go by Radio Shack.
In our car ride he helped me..a ton. Through his years of experience at Amor and in his years of marriage…and just life in general…he has grown to be very, very wise. In this short ride he helped me to also gain wisdom, truth, and a lot of perspective…which is something I definitely need….at all times.
We both got back to the office feeling very optimistic…and just lighter.
How do I know this moment was put together by God?
I completely forgot to go to the Post Office. Howie completely forgot to go to Radio Shack. But, God knew we needed to be together for that 15 minute conversation.
