1. I’ve been thinking about this program that Amor offers where you can commit to sponsoring the cost of building materials for a house in Mexico.  The idea is that donors from all over can contribute the money while groups come down to do the actual building.  It is kind of like sponsoring a child through Compassion (Jo and I have been sponsoring a girl, Isabel, for only $38 a month for the past three years!).  It is a pretty cool idea and one that I hope catches on with supporters of Amor.  We have even been able to purchase building materials for local pastors and their congregations to build over in Juarez when the violence caused all of the groups to cancel their trips.  How cool is it that when groups decided not to come out of fear, the Casa de Amor house sponsorship program empowered the local community rise up and met the challenge?
