From 2007 to 2009 we lived in Queens and worked at a bank/hedge fund in Manhattan. We realized we hated it so we quit.
In August 2009, We drove our Ford Escape to San Diego and worked building houses in Tijuana as year-long interns at Amor Ministries.
After our internship Andrew worked full-time for Amor for 2 years and Joanna finally finished her Masters in Social Work from SDSU in May 2012.
Our journey is continuing back on the East Coast...as we relocate to our Jersey roots...this time in our Toyota Matrix.

How to Save and Still Have Friends: Shop at Marshalls
Today while Andrew was tied up with a phlegmy head, I helped my friend with her dissertation research. On my way home I just haaaaappened to drive by the mall and found myself parked between Marshalls and DSW. Not only that, but I am in dire need of shoes that aren’t falling apart (love you, Target, but let’s be real). I went into Marshalls and found these two gems: beige heels by Nine West and black wedges by Libby Edelman. I got them both for a total of $51…Do I even have to say it???…STEAL!..I didn’t even need to got to DSW, I was so pleased.
